Here's what past participants said:
- "I enjoyed High School Week because it gave me a unique opportunity to experience what college life would be like, and helped me realize that attending college is more of an attainable goal than I had previously thought."
- "I loved hanging out with people my age who are interested in the same things I am! I enjoyed all the active games a lot!"
- "I got to take a "college style" Bio class and see what Sattler was like/what a future at Sattler might be like, got to stay in the dorms and make memories, and see Boston. It was also really fun hanging out with the other Christ-centered students and the staff as well. The games were memorable, and I really liked Tea Time and the fact that we had to take a Bible class as well. I really like my Sattler swag too :) Oh, and the Greek class was a bunch of fun too!"
Who will provide supervision? Participants will be supervised at all times by members of the Sattler staff, who will be assisted by current Sattler students.
What should I bring? Participants will be provided with a packing list before arrival. We will provide all necessary linens, bedding, meals, and class materials.
What's the best way to get to Boston? The short answer is flying to Boston Logan Airport, taking a train or bus to South Station, or being dropped off by someone. Parking in Boston is severely limited. As such, we do not recommend that program participants drive themselves into Boston. Sattler will facilitate transportation for students arriving at either Boston's Logan Airport or South Station (bus/train). Alternatively, students may be dropped off in Boston by their parents/ guardians. As a last resort, students who drive may park at a local garage for a fee of $40 a day.
When should I arrive in Boston? Arrivals should be on Monday afternoon (June 3):
- Boston Logan Airport: Flights should be scheduled to arrive no earlier than 12:00 pm EST and no later than 4:30 pm EST.
- South Station: Trains or buses should be scheduled to arrive no earlier than 12:00 pm EST and no later than 5:00 pm EST.
- Driving: Please arrive between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
- Students who need to arrive outside of these windows should contact Sattler staff as soon as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made to get them safely to campus
*Departures should be by Saturday afternoon (June 8).
Should I plan to attend everyday? Yes! Participants are asked to commit to being present for the full program.
Are meals and lodging covered? Yes, your registration covers lodging and meals for the duration of the program. Students will need to plan ahead to cover all meals during their travel on Monday (we will provide dinner) and Saturday (we will provide brunch and snacks).
Can I stack discounts? Please do!
